National Honor Society

TBD:

We are a service-oriented club. This semester our NHS has performed more than a thousand hours of service!

The Heritage Academy Chapter of the National Honor Society is beginning the spring induction process. Scholars with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are considered scholastically eligible for membership. All 10th, 11th and 12th-grade scholars who meet the minimum 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA criteria will be sent a written invitation to become candidates. The Heritage Academy NHS Chapter members will have monthly meetings during lunchtime and participate in various chapter service projects throughout the year. They will also have the opportunity to participate in individual service projects. Invited candidates may pick up a “Scholar Activity Information Form” at the front desk. The completed form and essay must be received at the front desk by end of February, 2020. An Induction Ceremony will be held in March (TBD). Successful candidates must attend this Induction Ceremony to become members.

National Honor Society is a highly esteemed national organization. Consideration for acceptance is based on the candidate’s demonstration of leadership, scholarship, character and service. We look forward to the opportunity to further enhance these important qualities here at Heritage Academy and are confident that membership in this organization will provide many benefits to our scholars both now and in the future as they apply for college entrance and scholarships.

NHS meets once or twice a month during lunch on Thursdays.
