Dear Heritage Academy Faculty,
As we approach the end of the academic year, I wanted to take a moment to inform you of another change in leadership at one of our schools.
Before I do that, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding dedication and hard work of Mrs. Amanda Smith for her wonderful leadership as the Assistant Principal at the Gateway Campus. She was one or our original teachers 10 years ago and helped build the amazing program we have today. Thank you, Amanda!
At this time, I am pleased to announce Mr. Tyler Bergeron as the new Assistant Principal at the Gateway HS Campus. He will begin in his new role on 1 July 2024 and report to Gateway Principal Kathleen Lopez.
Mr. Bergeron started as a history teacher with Heritage Academy in 2020 teaching both junior high and high school history courses, including dual enrollment.
Most recently, he has served as the Gateway History Department Chair and was instrumental in updating the history curriculum for all Heritage junior high and high school campuses. He also has coached volleyball and track and field teams.
Prior to coming to Heritage, Mr. Bergeron taught 4th and 5th grade for 3 years and was a team lead at another large charter system in Arizona.
While studying history and beginning his teaching career, Tyler also served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard finishing as a Sergeant, Battery Display Operator.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from Fitchburg State University and a Masters in History from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Tyler has always been a strong supporter of the Heritage mission and I am confident that our Gateway Campus will continue to flourish as he joins the leadership team with Ms. Lopez. Please join me in congratulating Tyler on his new role.
Regards,
Jared Taylor
