Dear Heritage Academy Faculty,
I am pleased to share an exciting leadership transition within our Heritage Academy family.
We are delighted to announce that Mr. Tyler Bergeron has been appointed as the new Principal of Heritage Academy Gateway high school, beginning next school year. Mr. Bergeron has been a valued member of our Heritage Academy community since 2020, beginning his journey as a history teacher for both junior high and high school, including dual enrollment courses. His dedication to academic excellence and passion for history have made a lasting impact on our scholars.
Most recently, Mr. Bergeron has served as the Gateway History Department Chair, where he played a pivotal role in updating the history curriculum across all Heritage Academy junior high and high school campuses. In addition to his academic contributions, he has also coached volleyball and track and field teams, demonstrating his commitment to fostering well-rounded scholar development.
Before joining Heritage Academy, Mr. Bergeron taught 4th and 5th grade for three years and served as a team lead at another large charter system in Arizona. His leadership experience in various educational settings has prepared him well for this new role.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Bergeron brings a unique perspective from his service in the New Hampshire Army National Guard, where he completed his tenure as a Sergeant and Battery Display Operator. His discipline, leadership, and dedication to service align perfectly with Heritage Academy’s mission and values.
Mr. Bergeron holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Fitchburg State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a Master’s in History from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
We are confident that Mr. Bergeron’s leadership will continue to strengthen the Gateway campus, fostering an environment of academic excellence, character development, and community engagement. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Bergeron as he steps into this important role.
