We are excited to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! Below is important information to help your family prepare for the first day of school.

  • School Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

📝 Withdrawing?

If your scholar will not be attending Heritage Academy, please email mesaregistrar@heritageacademyaz.com to request withdrawal forms.

Note: You may still receive school messages until July 29.

🧑‍🏫 Meet the Teacher Night – Monday, July 28, 5:00–7:00 PM

  • Meet teachers & tour campus
  • Seniors can order caps & gowns with Jostens
  • Uniform vendors, supply lists, PTO info & more
  • Print your scholar’s schedule before arriving — schedules will not be distributed at the event

🦸 Hero’s Welcome for New Scholars – Friday, July 25, 9:00–10:30 AM

📅 Class Schedules

  • Now LIVE in the PowerSchool parent/student portal
  • Most classes are full — schedules may change as we balance classes
  • Final schedules will be posted by Open House on July 28

🔄 Schedule Changes (Only for These Reasons)

  • Graduation credit issues (Seniors)
  • Incorrect level placement
  • Missing a class (blank schedule space)

Not accepted: Changes due to personal preference

  • Use the signup link sent in June to meet with Ms. Seaman, or complete a Schedule Change Request Form at the front desk during the first week of school

🚗 Parking Permits (Grades 10–12)

  • Seniors have priority

  • $50 cash only, payable at the front desk the first week of school

💻 Google Classroom Access

  • Teachers will invite scholars to classes after school starts
  • New scholars must log in from a school computer first
  • Attend Hero’s Welcome on July 25 to get set up

✏️ School Supplies

  • Teachers will provide a list at Open House or first day of class

📵 Electronics Policy

In accordance with Arizona state law, phones, earbuds, smartwatches, etc. are not permitted during the school day (8:00–3:30) unless used for instruction or medical reasons.

  • Devices will be confiscated if used inappropriately
  • Parents must pick them up from the principal’s office

📞 Attendance Policy

  • Use SchoolMessenger or call the front office by 10:00 AM on the day of absence
  • Absences cannot be changed after 24 hours
  • Scholars should check Google Classroom for missed work

Missing 10% or more of a class (usually 5+ per semester) may result in lost credit.

🕗 Tardy Policy

  • 3 tardies = lunch detention
  • Continued tardiness can result in suspension

🚙 Drop-Off / Pick-Up

  • Arrive after 7:15 AM; pick up by 4:00 PM
  • Use the gated driveline behind the school
  • Follow staff directions
  • Do not line up before 3:15 PM – Mesa PD may issue citations

❗ Forgotten Items (“Oops” Policy)

  • Drop off items at the front desk — scholar can retrieve during passing periods or lunch
  • Scholars will not be called out of class

🥪 Lunch Options

  • Most scholars bring lunch from home
  • MyHotLunchbox offers daily lunch for purchase
  • PTO operates a Snack Shack with additional snacks
  • No outside food delivery (UberEats, DoorDash, etc.) allowed
