Today’s post is provide by Brittany, a scholar at the Gateway campus.
Dear Future Friend,
The idea of jumping into high school right after being home-schooled for 4 years was kinda scary at first. Though it didn’t take long to get settled in, I’ve only been here a year now but my friend group has grown so large already and continues to grow still. I love my teachers. My experience here even helped me realize what career path I want to take.
Luckily I had a friend who brought me to Heritage Academy and was able to introduce me to her friends. They were all so accepting of me. Everyone here seems to be that way. As I’ve gotten to know more people, they joined our group too. Now I don’t even know how many are in our friend group anymore. Everyone has different skill sets and is willing to help anyone who needs it. We have no problems when it comes to sharing our opinion; we all respect and love one another, no matter what.
The teachers are just as great. They have helped me realize what I want to do as a career. I’ve feel like I’m being prepared for the real world. The teachers help me make sure that I “make good choices and remember that your teachers and staff care very much about you”.
Because of my amazing experience here, I know that I’m going to stay here until college. I’m looking forward to seeing how our Heritage family grows.
Looking forward to seeing you here,
Brittany
